The School of Insurance of Shandong University of Finance and Economics was established in November 2011, by combining Shandong Economic University and Shandong University of Finance. Shandong University of Finance began to enroll undergraduates of Social Security and Insurance from 1995. Both Shandong Economic University and Shandong University of Finance began to offer Insurance and Actuary major to undergraduates and postgraduates from 2003. The School of Insurance now has an enrollment of more than1200 undergraduates and postgraduates, with the scale of undergraduates ranking the second in all insurance disciplines of universities in China.
